Other than mineral foundation and staying out of the sun (never been a sunbather) I don't wear sunscreen. It either breaks me out or slides off my face. My skin tends to be normal (drier on my cheeks and forehead in the winter) but my t-zone gets very oily (even in the winter). I've been very lucky that I look young for my age (not just men telling me that to make me feel good or sleep with them lol. Literally everyone does. It was annoying when I was younger but not too bad now) I'm just one of those people who kept a decent amount of their baby fat in their face (didn't get cheekbones until I was 31-32 and my face is still pretty full. Only thing I really dislike about it is my dimples) but I'm almost 34 (in under two months) and starting to get some fine lines. Not very noticeable except when I wear makeup (powder makes them worse but having oily skin I need powder so it's a catch 22). Though from being a 'chronic furrower' throughout my life I've got some lines between my eyebrows that are bugging the crap out of me. Two of them look almost like a tree branch and they go almost to the middle of my forehead. Some days they're really faint but other days they're pretty noticeable. I know part of the issue is dehydration. I use a hydrating gel from GoW (only products I will use right now as I have very sensitive skin that is STILL acne prone and they work for me) but I don't drink enough water for sure.
So I know I should be using sunscreen to prevent further skin aging but I have not been able to find one that doesn't break me out, cause a rash or isn't too thick on my face. I will only use mineral sunscreen because of the environmental damage chemical ones cause. I tried Derma E oil free sunscreen for the face and although I didn't get breakouts or reactions from it it's way too thick and makes a mess of my face. Within half an hour my makeup is separating and sliding off my face. I'm also sensitive to ingredients like silicone which a lot of sunscreen tends to have. I would like something lightweight (either gel or lotion consistency) that works well under makeup and maybe even doubles as a primer...but WITHOUT silicones. Also oil free. As natural as possible is preferred as well although it's almost impossible to find an oil free organic sunscreen. Or at least not full of crap. I know it's all the fillers they put in sunscreen that causes issues for me. I get a lot of suggestions and often times I'll look at the ingredients and see ones I know will cause a reaction (because I'm diligent in writing things down and keeping track on which ingredients I can't tolerate). Someone in another sub suggestion powdered sunscreen but then I discovered you would need to literally use half a container of it each time to get any benefit. So they are better just for touch ups throughout the day. I'm getting to my wit's end here.
