From an expert to a noob - your lash guide. Thank me later

If you use JUST mascara, you're doing it all wrong because one, you aren't using your lashes to their max potential and two, you're making them brittle by not following through with the serum routine.

Underneath you’re basically drying your lashes out, tugging at them when removing makeup, and skipping the lash care routine which is what mainly repairs them. But don't worry even I just started like 3-4 years ago so if you do it right yours will do fine too, might take a few months though.

Ok so ill get right into it, this is what my lash routine looks like:

  • Gentle oil free cleanser (not your facewash) – to get rid of mascara buildup and lash mites (yes that’s a thing).
  • Serum with peptides/biotin – to actually nourish and strengthen lashes from the root.
  • A soft spoolie – for brushing out clumps and training them to grow upward.

Now you've got 2 ways you can go about this, start off slow with just the lash serum or get right into the whole routine. Either is fine as long as you stay consistent. Since I was testing the waters I started with just the serum initially which did reduce the breakage but it didn't get at the mascara debris properly so I switched to the foaming cleanser combo. So:

These are the best budget reliable products I could find. Also if you stay consistent, your lashes will first repair then grow thicker then longer, its a process just stay patient.

Starting out: lanbena ($20)

  • Use on clean, dry lashes (no residue or makeup)
  • Apply once daily (nighttime preferred)
  • Swipe the brush along the upper lash line, like eyeliner
  • Let it fully absorb before applying other products or sleeping
  • No need to apply to lower lashes, the transfer during blinking is enough

Full routine: stacy lash ($34)

  • Affordable + peptides + ginseng.
  • results usually start showing in 4-6 weeks.
  • Expect less breakage first, then longer lashes.

Step 1: lash shampoo only 2-3x a week unless you wear mascara daily

  • Pump once onto a cotton swab or lip brush
  • Sweep across your closed lash line
  • Rinse lightly with water
  • Removes buildup, oil, makeup, and lash debris
  • Preps lashes for better serum absorption

Step 2: use a clean spoolie

  • Brush lashes upward and outward
  • Helps detangle, align lashes, and stimulate follicles
  • Do this right after cleansing, while lashes are still damp

Step 3: lash serum

  • Apply once or twice daily on clean, dry lash line
  • Use the thin brush to trace along your upper lashes
  • Let it dry fully before applying any other product

This is the best I could summarize it, anything for my girls.
