Hi everyone!
So I've heard for years, that after 50, it's best to wear liquid foundation, but at 49, I've found that powder foundation (Thin Lizzy, Jane Iredale and Revlon Colorstay) work wonders with a brush. They look natural and in the humid weather (where I live, humidity in summer is awful) - they don't feel like I'm wearing a heavy mask. No matter how little liquid foundation I use, I can always feel it in the heat.
What I do to make it work is : 1- apply a good moisturizer, so far, Ponds S has been working great on my skin, people say it's too think, yada yada, but not for me and I've got mixed skin. It absorbs nicely.
2 - apply sunblock
3 - apply concealer under eyes
4- apply powder foundation with a brush until I get desired coverage.
I've used one other powder foundation, Youngblood, which was awful and settled on my pores (and I have pretty small pores, so bummer), however, the ones I mentioned above work great.
