Why does every anti-aging foundation make me look 10 years older?

I’m 52 and I’ve tried everything from Chanel to drugstore brands. They all claim to be lifting or youth-enhancing, but they just settle into my fine lines and make my skin look like a dry desert by noon. Is there anything that actually glows?
